Karma Automotive, based in Southern California, will be operated with a Mahindra group, Pininfarina, to develop new products together. The American luxury car manufacturer, owned by Chinese companies, is working with the Italian design house to accelerate the development of future technologies and products.” Details of what this implies have not yet been announced, but first results are expected to be announced in the second quarter of this year.
“Our company and product planning are based in part in cooperation with agile and similar partners such as Pininfarina, whose proficiency in design will assist us, speed-up product development, demarcation, and custom fit, with the aim of each Karma to be special,” Lance Zhou, CEO of Karma Automotive said in a statement.
The joint effort will combine the efforts of each partner in creating a super luxury car design and will be an important complement to the growing list of Karma strategic business partners who will play an important role in the commercial Zhou, which aims to accelerate the development of technologies and products.
As part of Value Forward-Commercial strategy, Karma wants to take over and build up significant technologies and important alliance for connectivity, artificial intelligence, electrification mobility, performance, and shared platforms. The aim is to strengthen Karma’s position in an exclusive niche of luxury electric vehicles in the United States before venturing to other global markets.
